Kait and Davidé (AKA Pidge & Papaya) met one sunny day in May 2021 after a volleyball potluck social when Kait was taking a quick pee out her car door before driving home. David innocently walked to his kitty-corner parked Ford Fiesta and noticed the raging urine stream coming towards him. David followed his eyes to Kait straddled outside her car. They acknowledged what just happened with brief eye contact, laughter, and explanation that the Port O Potty was too far away for Kait to walk. When David got home, he texted Kait.

After over a month of sultry messages and a few goofy long hypothetical scenarios presented by Kait, David asked Kait out. She was busy. One random Tuesday a few weeks later, David was watching the movie “What Women Want” with his cat Smittens on his chest when a hot text came through from Kait to meet up for a drink. Basically two dates later, David asked Kait to come with him to Greece and she somehow decided to say yes! The rest is history.

And we have been learning love through travel ever since through our ‘Love Passport’. Despite being flightless birds, our travels remind us that anything is possible. We hope you fly & learn with us as Flyin Ostriches through our blog and podcast stories.
